Evil Geniuses star Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte has been named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of ESL One New York 2019 by HLTV.org and betway. The 21-year-old led his team to their first-ever Big Event title with a 1.25 rating in the four-map series against Astralis to leave the Barclays Center with a 1.29 tournament rating, the highest overall. His grand final display ultimately saw him edge out teammate Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov in the race for the MVP award as he outperformed his Bulgarian teammate on the three maps that Evil Geniuses won, Inferno, Dust2 and Nuke. ![]() Besides leading the tournament's rating charts, Brehze was ranked first for KDD (+70) and kills per round (0.84). He was also among the best performers in seven other stats categories, including ADR (84.2), percentage of rounds with at least one kill (53.0%) and headshots per round (0.46).
Brehze now has his second MVP award - he won his first at cs_summit 3, in November 2018, which was not a Big Event. He has averaged an impressive 1.21 rating on LAN this year (1.18 at Big Events) to put himself in firm contention for his first entry into a Top 20 players of the year list. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
